Hello,

I have a laptop running win7 pro 64bit with 4Gb RAM and a Intel P7450 2.13Ghz CPU.

I am waiting to mess around with virtualization on the laptop as i carnt afford another computer at the moment :(

My CPU does not support VT on the CPU.

Is there anyway i can run VMWare ?? i am wanting to virtualization for example server 2008.

Thanks Ben

Thanks for that downloading now, 507Mb download.

Will i beable to run server 2008 r2 trail in vmware server ??

Thanks Ben

VT is just an acelleration mechanism - it's fairly recent.

I was running VMware on linux to run Windows 98 apps, back in the late 90s! There definitely was no VT back then :)

Thanks for the help.

I am up and running now.

I could not get the 64 bit version of 2008 server running, said my CPU does not support 64 bit lol, strange because i am running win7 64 bit lol

Got the 32 bit server 2008 installed and running as a virtual machine.

Thanks again.
