virtualization - who is running it

Hi

Just a quick question who here runs virtualization at work?

I believe the industry is now heading in this direction, but unfortunately where i work we didn't get the money we needed to replace some of our servers with a nice blade setup.

So here runs it in work and how many servers did you replace by using it

42 down to 8 or so, running on ESX. Can't really tell you much more than that.

No idea of the exact details, but we are moving more and more servers into a virtual environment.

Hundreds already converted. Will be in the thousands eventually.

Will hopefully starting to play with ESX before xmas.

A hatload of our test/dev (web/SQL) servers are now under ESX, I'm not 100% on mission-critical stuff right now but it's gradually going to go that way I think.
