Zombie horror VR experience:
http://virtuallydead.co.uk/

Is anyone going to it? The lady and I got tickets for Monday. It looks very intriguing and will be my first experience with the Vive.

I also have a spare ticket going for Sunday 3rd in the morning if anyone wants.

Went last night.

You're in for an awesome treat! Best zombie experience I've been on. And I've been to one in Hong Kong, done 2.8 hours later and Generation of Z. And the VR bit was brilliant implemented.

Actors are top notch. 10 person group limit (10 HTC Vive Pre + a demo one in the bar afterwards)

I hope you have a good group. Mine was awesome as we had a horse dentist, zoo keeper and motorbike stunt girl (who was also a heavy gamer).

I don't want to spoil anything for you mate but you're definitely going to have a blast.

Highly recommend trying as many of the demos as possible afterwards. Hopefully you will get more tech support (last night it was just one guy who kept popping out and we had to wait ages for him to switch demos).

Great to hear Skellig! Got me really looking forward to it now.

How do the professions of your group help? Is it a problem-solving experience?

Oh no. It was just banter. The soliders know people are waiting for a while so they just ask people what they do.

The horse dentist one was hilarious because the guy literally grabbed a stool and sat there to ask what that entailed.

My mate is an analyst for market intelligence and the solider gave him such flak because he had no idea what the job was. I said I worked for a charity and the soldier just said "fair enough - not going to insult somebody who works for a charity" basically.

The actors are having fun too so feel free to unleash your wit. They like people who can give and take. Obviously just don't swear at them, but if the woman Colonel asks somebody if they have a nice tight bum... you can vouch for that person :D

It's not very active. You are always moving but no running or heavy lifting. You might have to climb into an awkward space or through a tunnel but that's about it (trying to be unrevealing here).

As for the event itself, it was ok. Skelling got me pumped for it, but it was what I initially expected - ham acting, a poor script poorly delivered. I tried to remain upbeat throughout the event for the girlfriend's benefit, but I just wanted a shot on the Vive. The VR tie-in was weak, but it saved the event for me.

It was interesting that we were a group of 4 couples, and every female there seemed to have been coerced into it by the men :D
