Meh well iv managed to get this lovely malware/virus/trojan/worm on my pc somehow, Im guessing someones used my pc without me knowing and used internet explorer. joy.

Looks like its a right pain to remove so im thinking its format time, how in this day and age can something thats seemingly been so round for so long not be cleanable =/ Avast didnt do too good at protecting me.

Is there actually any easy way of getting rid of this that I havnt stumbled across?

Mines only just started appearing as being detected after ff3 too.
I knew something was up last week or so though.

Benja if you'd actually looked at those links.. like I have you would have read
'Removing Virtumonde is HARD. While we know our guides work they do not work for everyone. Do plan on spending at least 2 hours to remove this threat. 4-7 hours'

Im asking for an easy way, not one thats taking atleast 2hours.

i had it a while back n used super antispyware... programme n it got it all after 2 scans.......antivirus wudnt find it....adaware n spybot also helped...

"Pee" if you'd actually looked at the second link, it is a program that removes it for you.

And just to top things off, there are plenty of links to software on the first site too.

Maybe next time you won't be so hasty to snap at someone who's helping you.

ooh really, why thank you, ill have a look in it, you should have just posted that link :D
lets hope it works ey

I found turning system restore off also and running scans etc ensures it wont recorrur when you reboot (its meant to have entries in the sys restore)

Obviously turn it back on once scans, etc all done.
