Hi Folks,

Further to my previous thread here , i wondered if anyone has any experience of Virtuoso Doors? The company that would be fitting one of their doors is called, We Do Doors.

From checking TrustPliot, we do doors have an overall excellent rating and so far they have been one of the best with regards to pre-sales service. We're not that familiar with Virtuoso doors though and wondered if if they were good quality. Obviously i don't think they are at Rockdoor/Solidor levels as we have been quoted the following.

thumbnail

Door type – Norfolk composite front door

Door colour –slate grey

Frame colour – white

Door will be all white on inside

Handles – superior balmoral chrome

Thumbturn lock – chrome

Letterbox – superior chrome

Security chain – silver

Upgraded chrome hinges

Total cost£1111

This total cost includes:

• Door

• Frame

• All Hardware

• 3 Keys

• VAT & Fitting Costs

• Removal of your old door/frame for recycling

We've also had an additional quote from a local place for £1050 (though this may increase £50 or so) for similar to the above, however the Door Manufacturer is called Doorstop.

So, Virtuoso Vs Doorstop? :)

EDIT - Research suggest Virtuoso used to be WB Group...

Sorry Matt I don’t have anything to add in terms of quality/service etc, however I am in the market for a couple of doors so would also be interested in people’s views on this as the price looks good.

Couple of things, why doesn't the external frame colour match the door this makes it look cheap, also i dislike how the brochure fails to mention any of the doors security as in what locks and locking mechanism is fitted.

For the same price you have been quoted you could get a Rockdoor ultimate or Solidor fitted, both are industry leading.

Our current frame is white and so we chose that to keep in line with our current colour scheme.

Doors are certified to PAS24:2016.

Yes not much mentioned about the locks in the brochure sadly, but i can query that via email.
