For the last month i've had a virus problem that i can't seen to get rid of. I keep getting a file callied trc3ns.exe trying to connect to the net. I scanned my system with Malwarebytes and it pics it up and deletes it but a week or two later it is back trying to connect to the web again.

I suggest you disable system restore (and clear all the restore points) and do the scan again (you'd be better off doing it in safe mode just in case anything is hiding) also you should clear out the temp folder since that is where the nasty is hiding itself.

The other day i formated the drive and reinstalled and it still came back.

Do you have other drives installed?

Do you use any external drives, or memory sticks?

What programs have you installed since re-installing the OS?

Something you've done since the re-install has allowed it to come back. It was either hiding on a file on another drive/partition, or on an external drive, such as a USB memory stick. Or you have run a file which is infected in some way.

If it comes back after a couple of weeks, and survives a format, then its either on another drive, or you keep browsing unsecured to somewhere with the infection and reinstall it.

Are you using any keygens, or gamehacks? Are you browisng anywhere for porn outside of big well know .com sites?
Find your source.
