A friend of mine has a very dated PC running Windows 2000. She's just inherited an ex-work machine running XP Home and just before getting it the old machine got a virus that killed MS Office and stripped lots of programs fron the Start and Programs menu's.
Anyway, she has a 4 GB flash drive to transfer her old documents to the new machine. The PC recognises it and sees the data and pictures already on it, BUT the PC will not copy files to the flash drive or vice versa. Haven't tried a CD-R yet, didn't have one to hand.
Can anyone recommed how to get the data off the PC?
