virus scan stops half way

Hi there new build when i do a virus scan.it just stops half way. any suggestions tried 3 different v.scanners same thing.

Have you tried to boot into safe mode using F8 on boot and virus scan again to see if it still stops?

Tried an on-line scanner? E.g. ESET (Nod32)
