Virus Scanner?

Anyone recommend a virus scanner (online or downloadable) that is free and will actually remove any viruses it finds?

and use other tools aswell like
spybot s&d
ad ware se
crap cleaner
windows defender

all free

Or just use hijackthis, a decent browser, and not let this crap get onto your machine in the first place.

I'm confused.

I've got this thing running in the background called mom.exe

I've searched it on google and some say it's software to do with Catalyst control center and others think it's a virus? It's only just appeared today despite me having the newest drivers for a while, and the reason I checked what is running in the background was due to Source running abit slower than usual.

Task Man -> Mom.exe -> Properties

If it belongs to ATI and you have an ATI card, its safe.
