Virus / Trojan - Please help!

Hi today I opened a file I downloaded and since then it has disabled my Norton Internet Security and Spybot-S&D.

Every time I try to reinstall either of them, it either removes the important spybot .exe files from the Program Files directory and also denies me access to Norton's system files on the antivirus CDROM.

I did manage to get to do a virus scan via the CDROM but it didn't find anything.

I've noticed some new files in the Task Manager and also have a utility that shows me one of them uploading all the time which isn't shown in the task manager as hidden or anything - so I can't disable it.

here's the possible suspect files..

wintems.exe
hldrrr.exe
and occasionally I get ~3.exe or ~6.exe or similar files like this popping up in the task manager.

Any ideas what I can do as no antivirus or spybot installation seems to work!

I installed Prevx antivirus (never heard of it before until I tried searching for the odd filenames I saw in the Task manager) and it seems to have done the trick!
I'm now able to install SpyBot and will try installing a better antivirus that doesn't let trojan files disable it before screwing with my pc.
