Hi, My rig has a spam virus and I have isolated it. I am going to get a SSD and rebuild Windows on it (coming up for a rebuild anyway). Cool. But the virus hard disk i want to reuse as the mass storage drive.
My thoughts were install windows and stuff on the SSD. Then reconnect the hard disk. But worried it might reinfect again..... Whats the best way of being sure it wont? I was thinking maybe wipe it or format it now whilst still in place, before taking it out and putting the SSD in its place?
Glad I backed up my data last weekend.
