Virus's grrrrrrrr

Ok, i thin I have got a virus though norton does not recognise it. I keep getting these pop ups on my desktop saying you have a virus by antivirus gold.
one program is even trying to download an antivirus. Is there any way to get these to go away? and does anyone know why norton doesnt recognise them?
im running norton 03 with live update

That sounds like a trojan or spyware. Ditch Norton as it is a bag of crap, quite clearly.

Download Avast or AntiVir and then scan with that. Also, try Spybot, Adaware and Ewido. All are free and will provide far better protection than Norton.

well last time i got spy bot i got these same virus's so ill give it a miss. cheers for the others
