I know right !? Literally at the bar a fraction of the time of the people using out dated cash as a payment option, even people who’re using card. I think the limit is £250? Which is fair enough, I don’t do rounds anyway

Apple Pay is instant.

Like any contactless payment.

I ask for a pint. They bring said pint, with card machine. I double tap my home button and hover my phone over the machine. Instant payment and I walk off with my pint the whole process is much quicker than paying by cash

Yes I get that....I mean it doesn't provide at the bank instantly? Much like paying at the pump doesny in some places

Oh I see. As in showing up in statements instantly ? Not a clue. I rarely look at my statements. By the time I do, all my transactions are there.

The limit is based on the retailer, places like Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Wetherspoons and lots of other places don’t have a limit for Apple Pay.

The technical issue we experienced yesterday has been resolved. Our network is working normally. If you attempted a Visa transaction that did not complete as a result of this issue, you should not be charged.

A small number of cardholders may have pending transactions that could be limiting their spending ability. We are working with your banks to resolve this.

this is complete ******** from visa turns out i have been billed twice for my rejected transaction anyone who used a visa debit card on friday needs to check there statement carefully.

i phoned bank up earlier saying both confirmed at my end it's just available amount reduced can tell i had been billed twice, but one of the transactions took place the following day that's nowt to do with me never used the card on Saturday. best be a refund in the pipeline from visa can't tell if the bill has actually been paid while later in the week mine was for council tax.

Funny enough I tried to pay for some grocery's the other night and my card got declined but the shop attendant took some information and asked me to sign the receipt.

I don't have one of those fancy contactless cards.

It's deception, not an outright lie. Note that the statement says that people should not be charged, not that they have not been charged.

I got charged twice on a pending transaction but my bank had already sorted it and sent me a text message before I'd even woke up though my available balance took a few more hours to adjust.
