I had a day off work and a free ticket so off I went :D I'm 33 and I've never been there despite having lived quite near it most of my life.

It wasn't the best day weather wise but then again it could have been a lot worse! The 70-200mm F4L I have did well and it was nice to use it since I tend to need the 100-400mm more these days. It was a bit annoying having to shoot through glass or mesh sometimes but it didn't turn out too badly :)

Anyway, here's the whole set and a few faves from it :)

Nice set. Love the one of the owl being still as a statue while his friend flaps about. Would have been good to see a loser framing on them though :)

some nice pictures there, also being close by I've considered it a few times, but i look at the prices of it and just cant justify it. but if you had a free ticket then it would be rude not too..

There are a bunch of other shots as I kept shooting whilst the other guy/girl was shaking about but they're all at 200mm so couldn't zoom in any more! I could have used my 100-400mm but it's not anywhere near as sharp hehe

There's cheaper prices over the winter and during the week etc :) I think it would have cost me £16 or something if I had paid. You can spend most of the day there so it's worth it imo :)

Nice, although I'm the opposite, i'm not sure I like the flapping owl, it's distracting.

Love the Desert Fox though, I remember seeing one come out of it's den in Tunisia and start stretching in the early morning light while we were bogged down in the sand a few years ago. I was kicking myself that I didn't take my camera.

Yeah the Owl is more of a novelty shot than anything else, I'm tempted to see if I can make the shots I have into a gif lol :)

The Foxes were cute, one was just hiding in his hole, the one I took the most shots of just sat there whilst the other just roamed around a lot.

The Otters were my fave though :) They were waiting for their food when I got there and they all pressed up against the glass when they saw the guy with the bucket of fish lol :) They knew what was going on! Cute little guys :)

Oh no, by looser I meant more zoomed out not in :)
