I was lucky enough to visit Westonbirt Arboretum on Sunday. It was absolutely amazing and well worth it for anyone thinking of going! After reading cykeys' HDR guide I thought these would be a good test of the method. I'm quite impressed with the results so far. Only problem I had was that I wanted to use the 3RAW method for the best result, buy of course the wind makes the trees move inbetween shots so it didnt always work...

I can't help feeling the old HDR thing is a real Marmite issue. You either love it or you hate it.

Normally I don't like HDR as it's usually overdone. I feel a bit in between with these though as the exposures look good but the saturation is way too OTT for my liking. Tone that down (maybe B&W?) and I think you'll have some great shots.

Agreed.

Noted. But for some reason I really like high saturation shots...

I'll have a play with b&w and see what I come up with though.

I had a quick play with the first pic to get a bw and in the process made a lower saturation version too. Have to say after seeing the lower sat one the original pictures do look a bit over the top! :)

I think that the first lot of HDR ones look amazing, i like the saturation. A very good use of HDR, you've done it without overdoing it.
