Visiting London next weekend

Hi all

I'm heading into London next weekend, and I'm hoping to get some good shots while I'm there. I know its Chinese New Year celebrations this day, so I'll be spending a good bit of time around Chinatown no doubt. Any other suggestions? I've heard that Baker Street is worth a visit, as well as the Emirates Air Line, if its a decent day.

Can get some great street themed shots on oxford street if you are brave enough for the crowds! Have a look to see if there are any large events on in hyde park etc as they could be worth a visit.

Avoid Oxford street.

Go to a good market if you want good street shots, Camden, spittelfield, borough would all be good choices.

Covent garden as well isn't too bad and tends to have good performers out.

Oxford street is great if you take your time to pick your shots.

I'm not saying its bad, just that normally it's busier than worth it IMO.

Yeah due to how busy it is, it can be problematic, but you can use that to get some pretty nice shots though. Just have to really pick your shots and pay attention to the surroundings. I used an 85mm F1.4 lens for all of those shots, yet a standard zoom or a 105 prime would also give some really nice results. Not sure I'd go wider than that though as you really have to get into the crowd to try and take a shot then, which wouldn't really work on oxford street when its that busy.
