Hi guys,

Managed to get 2 tickets to watch Utd at home this Sat :) Going up with a friend.

We are leaving Devon around 8:00am.....after a couple of stops, hope to arrive there around 1:00pm.

Any reccomendations on where we can park?

Any decent pubs nearby? Or anywhere to grab a bite to eat?

What time should we get to the stadium?

Will it take a while to get in?

Is watching the players warm up any good? Cant see why it would be...

Is the food / drink in the stadium expensive?

Thanks

:)

You might be optimistic to get to the stadium by 1pm, depends on traffic really. You should definitely be there by 3 at least.

Plenty of parking around, all much of a muchness. I park near the cricket ground usually but just drive in the general direction of the stadium and you will find somewhere to park.

There's a few pubs near the ground but they'll be busy pre-game and you might struggle to get food, don't know as I haven't done it before. I usually go for a drink in The Bishop Blaize or The Trafford but you need to be there early to get in sometimes. There's loads of takeaways and similar around though.

If you don't want to watch the warmup, half 2 will be plenty of time to get to your seat. I quite enjoy getting there early for a bit of prematch atmosphere depending on the game.

Yes, food and drink is expensive but not ridiculously so.

I went to Old Trafford for the first time for the first game of the season this year. I made a thread asking for parking recommendations at the time, should come up in a search.

Got stuck on the M6 for than an hour after an accident shut the Motorway near Stoke and missed about 20mins of the match.

I parked on Gorse Hill Primary school in the end. Was £10

My bro in law is a season ticket holder, been a few times with him.

He always gets the train from Altringham. No queues getting back on the motorway. After the game walk up to the next stop to avoid the massive queues at the on nr the stadium.

Normally works out cheaper than parking nr the ground and even with walk and train a good half hour quicker than the traffic.

I went up to see Torquay in the play-off final a few years ago (Damn you Stevenage!!!) and there were quite a few places near the stadium that were doing parking. It was about a fiver I think and looked well dodgy but I didn't get a parking ticket and the car was safe and sound.

We've parked in Media City before, there's a huge multi-storey about a 10/15 minute walk from the ground. I think it may have been £10/15 to park for those few hours?

It was a Sunday though so the prices may be different for Saturday.
