A little history, my HDD crashed as some of you might know by now. I've got a second HDD and a new copy of vista 64 bit.

Is it possible to have 32 bit on one drive and the 64 bit on the other drive? What I want to do is try out my overclock settings using 32 bit, then when I've found stability I can just use 64 bit safely without buggering up my install. Like I've already done with the current one :D.

Well, Ill install 32 bit tonight and use Acronis. Then tomorrow Ill see if it'll work. Both are home premium, one 32 bit and one 64 bit.

You guys think it's worth me installing 64 bit at all? I've already got 32 bit, is there a great advantage in running 64 bit, especially with the dawn of windows 7. Or should I just send the box back unopened?

Definately run in 64 bit, if I were you I wouldn't bother with the 32 bit at all, bad overclocks dont often trash the OS, most of the time the OS will just not load.

Well, it was a bad overclock, it ran fine when it was "warm" but cold boots always ended in a bsod. The OS didn't load at all. This happened 2 days ago, so I reinstalled, got a bsod this morning, same problem, froze in the same place. I'm currently reformatting the old drive in another pc.
