hello all

i ,m upgrading to vista, i will have a c2d and around 2gb of ram, 8800gtx and X-fi xtreme music as well as asus p5k.

i,m sure 64 should run on that but why people are going to 32.

Thanks

I haven't gone with 32 bit, I installed 64 bit. Of course I cannot say what difference in performance there is but I can say how surprised I was to find that all my apps run perfectly; even Need for Speed 2000! The only slight problem was with Quickbooks 2004 and the problem, is only that it can't seal with the email options.

Right, I'm waiting to be told I am all wrong and should have used the 32 bit version but as I don't have any problems here I don't think I'll worry to much.

hey

u may need a patch or fix, sounds nothing major, anyone else with 64 vs 32 opionions?

thanks

Running Vista 64 here, the only major problem I had was that I could no longer use my usb Medusa headphones (no digi signed drivers).

All my games work fine, would just like some better drivers for my X-fi fatality pro.

Go for it!

hi dyson

nice one, i,m sure creative just released some new vista drivers.

anyone know the difference between the 2.

thanks

Running the 30th May ones (2.15.0002 ), but I want the previous version. Heard it offers a bit more support.

I get static on start-up sometimes (only fitted it monday!).

I was running 64bit Vista, but had a nightmare finding Vista drivers for some of my hardware, let alone 64bit drivers. I think drivers are the worst problem you will come across, but support is supposed to be improving.

thats the trouble with vista at the moment is the driver issues, but surely drivers should be just as good as their vista 32.

thanks
