i havwe 2180@3ghz 4gb ram and an 8800gt and every day i get multiple times when i system hangs for few mins not my mouse just the applications become not responding for a few mins then they come back,
what config is the RAM in ? are the timings set by SPD or manual ? chances are something is set wrong in the BIOS. Load failsafe defaults and see if it occurs again, if not then the problem can be tested from here.
