Been trying to resolve my issues with the drivers for this card.

I've done a fresh install on XP and vista (Several occasions now) and which ever driver I use I just can't get this card to operate properly in 2D let alone 3D :(
I've tried the drivers supplied with the HIS CD and the current drivers on the ATI website. I've tried just installing the drivers with and without CCC but nothing seems to work.
When I install the drivers in vista 64 Home premium the whole system grinds to a halt with windows and general navigation taking an age. If I uninstal and use default windows VGA drivers everything is fine in 2D. I can navigate and everything loads promptly without any issues.
I'm sure the card is getting enough power (Akasa ultra quiet 550w power plus) and everything appears to point to the shoddy drivers.

Has anyone actually got these drivers to work or could post some links to any alternative drivers I could use for Vista 64.

I've been struggling with this for two days now and I'm down to my last few hairs on my head so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I know people are complaining about the poor perfromance in games but I'd just be happy if I could get the damn thing to work in 2D properly.... What a complete waist of silicon tbh

My system is:-

X2 4200+
2 GB Corsair xms3200
Asus A8S-X
X-FI Extreme music.
