Hi All

I work as a developer and I'm toying with the idea to move to Vista 64 bit. At the moment I'm running XP on a Duo Core 2.6ghz with 4gb of RAM. The main thing I use is Visual Studio 2008 Professional. I will be the only person in our organisation with Vista so I will be the 'tester'. Do you think it would be a good move? Dell doesn't support 64 bit Vista but I have found a website with the drivers for my model: -

Definitely go for it, especially as it's not your money and you're developing on it. Bit concerned why your organisation bought Inspirons though, are they a small company?

Well they have a main supplier which I won't name. My boss ordered a top notch PC and when I got it everything was friggin wrong, suppliers fault I wasn't happy. I said to my boss I could get a much better spec from Dell for cheaper so he said go ahead and order it.
