hi
i`m just on the verge of buying a new system and just have one thing i`d like to sort out-if i go for a vista 64bit os will my bt home hub, scanner, cordless mouse and keyboard and other stuff still work?

Before installing Vista 64.

1. Write down a list of all of your PC hardware.
2. Go to website for each manufacturer and confirm Vista 64 drivers available
3. Decide if enough of your hardware is supported to make Vista 64 viable.

Seriously - we can't answer your question without knowing makes and models of mouse, keyboard, scanner etc.
By the time you've listed them you might as well check on the various websites.

Rule of thumb though - mouse & keyboard probably OK. Scanners are hit & miss for 64bit drivers.

To be honest, the majority of peripherals should work in Vista even if they are running in 32 bit with the windows emulation. I ahve some items from years ago that don't have 64 bit drivers but work perfectly fine.

You should have no issues at all with going for Vista 64, it's a joy to use, you can have as much memory as is currently possible (all make use of it!) and you are prepared for the future!
