Vista 64 CRT driver problem

I've just moved to Vista 64 bit and i'm on a CRT, the problem is i can't install the driver for my Misubishi Diamond Pro 750 SB and so i'm losing out on some refresh rates, for example 800 x 600 @ 140hz.

I tried installing the XP driver and it won't allow, anyone know if i can get around this?

If there's no driver there's not a lot you can do in that department, you may be able to get a 3rd party program to force the setting for you though.

What graphics card do you have?

8800 gts

i used to manipulate the old XP ini so it could display 2048x1536 for testing purposes, if i can't find a way to do the same in vista i'm screwed.

i think it's getting my monitors info from EDID, so does anyone know how to disable this?
