Vista 64 is driving me crazy as it makes me so slooooow in doing anything!
I'm used to XP, and I take ages just trying to find where on earth all the stuff I'm used to using is languishing in Vista.
One area of help would be in is there any way to get Vista Explorer to look, and act, like Windows Explorer in XP?
Cheers.

I asked this sometime ago and I think the answer was no but that you'd used to it pretty quickly but for some reason I haven't, maybe because I still use XP more then Vista?

You can make Vista look and behave a lot like XP yes, right click the desktop and select 'personalise' and then go to 'themes' and change it to 'Windows Classic' and that will give you the old interface look and behaviour.

what do you mean 'stuff i'm used to using'

the vista interface seems a pain at first, but it's quicker once you get used to it

The explorer drop down bar interface wotsit does get irritating. Ive been using it for about a year (ish) and still dislike it.

heh, I think that's one of vista.explorer's best features!

being able to go back through the directory tree with the drop downs is like a better implemented version of the tree view in Apple's Finder imo :)

I guess that I will just have to get used to using the software...have to overcome my natural in built 'resistance to change' thinking...XP to Vista...Office 2003 to Office 2007...sometimes think that some of the changes are for 'changes sake'...ho hum...

office 2007 has a much better interface than 2003

stubbornness and old habits put many people off it, F1 is easy to press if you can't find something though
