Vista 64 Gives Me Error 1305 On Some Games??

Have never had this problem on windows xp, but have noticed on vista 64 with my new build. Some game will install a certain amount and then give me a Error 1305, and say that there has been an error reading a certain file from the dvd, and ask me to verify that the file exists and that i can access it. The files are all present on the dvd, I can click retry and then the installation goes abit further then gives me the error again. The only way i can get around this is if a copy all files to my harddisk and then run the setup file. I have a pioneer dvr 212 optical drive. Any ideas

Sounds like the data is being corrupted. Try lowering your memory timings or speed as I had similar issues with memory. You may even have a duff stick which needs replacing. If you have more than 1 stick, remove the sticks and try swapping and changing the installed stick.
