I have been testing Vista 64 and its Firewall and i have to say i'm really impressed. It doesnt let anything in compared to XP firewall.

However, i would like to know which fire wall you would use other than MS firewall for Vista 64?

Which do you think is best?

xp's firewall doesn't "let things in" does it?

xp blocks all incoming, but doesn't care about outgoing

i'm not trying to patronise, incase it sounds like that!

Well thats what i meant in and out. That is the purpose of a firewall.

unless you have a virus or spyware, then you don't need outgoing protection

-its about time the included it in an ms package, but i hope outgoing protection can be turned off

Well as i run a business i want maximum security. Most users who have a virus or spywear dont realise it until its too late. I want to prevent that happening.

couldn't see any options or mention of outgoing protection when i checked my VM just now, do you have to set the network type to something else for it to show up?
