Am looking to buy a ssd and was thinking about buying windows 7.
i mainly use my pc for gaming.
Is it worth changing or staying with vista?
i had problems finding chipset drivers for my board would 7 use the xp drivers or do they have 7 versions.

I was pre-ordered Windows 7 for about 6 weeks ago but decided to cancel cos os wee bit change in Windows 7 but nothing else and Im stay in Vista until Windows 8 coming up in 2011/2012 - Windows 7 still as Vista R2 or "should-be" SP3 or 2nd edition as it still using Vista core kernel also games may not work in Windows 7 - 2 of my games seem dont support in Windows 7 as it still work in Vista so it up to you to decide to stay in Vista or upgrade to Windows 7. Ive decided myself to cancelled and wait for next one include new hardwares that about 2 and half years/3 years times for Win 8 come out.

Motherboards chipset still support Windows 7 when it come out on October 22 - Nvidia still avaiable for all motherboard just now, AMD as well.

I say yes, go Windows 7. I've heard nothing but good about Windows 7.

I have had Pro Retail on pre-order since July for £80 and can't wait to get it.

You might find that Windows 7 supports your chipset 'out of the box'. If it doesn't then you could always try Vista drivers, apparently they work on Windows 7 quite often.
