Hello,

Was just sitting browsing the web there and had a popup down in my toobar."windows activating" - "windows activated".

Now ive went to that website to order the 64bit as i bought Home Premium Retail and it tells you to go here to order it,But, it says:-

"You can order either of these alternate media for a minimal fee, including shipping and handling. To order, you'll need to supply the 25-character product key that came with your purchase.* You'll find the product key on a yellow sticker on the back of your DVD media holder."

Does anyone know what the minimum fee is? lol. i thought i would just need to pay delivery charges but a extra fee ontop of that :/
 
I tried to place order there got an error tho, maybe all isnt up and running yet.

Now i think about it tho, gonna wait of to see what this minimum charge. Not going to order if i find out that £100 has came out my account lol :p
 
idd, still cant get my head arround to why they did not include both versions in box. And says this at bottom of letter "this offer may only be available for a limited time" huh? does that mean someone who buys vista home premium next year will not be able to get 64bit ? lol something very fishy going on here if you ask me.
 
I think theres just been a lot of confusion. Home Premium = 32bit. But a lot of companys has it listed as 32/64. Was there any official news from microsoft that retail would include the 2 of them?
 
I'm not sure :) But I thought MS was pushing 64-bit in a big way with Vista's release, and they sure aren't going about it the right way, are they.
 
Yeh, now i think about it tho, if Home Premium is a 32bit OS and nothing else. Where is the 64bit Home Premium? ive not seen it on sale anywhere. And they say this offer about ordering 64bit with Home premium is only for a limited time only.

EDIT: didnt want to make another thread so ill post here (just a quicky :p)

Anyone with Vista,8800GTX and CoD2 installed try something for me, when i run cod2 and use "Rendering Mode: Directx9" there is no walls,playermodel, erm infact theres nothing apart from blue sky and a crosshair with sound lol.

Trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or nvidia drivers problem

Using Forceware 100.54 atm and had same problem with any other vista drivers before.

I guess envelopes and stamps are expensive nowadays eh. What a rip-off, charging people an extra £8 when they have already spent over £200 :rolleyes:

How can they justify that, when they sent out the Windows XP SP2 disc FREE to people who requested one.
