I was given a new laptop from work a while ago but never got round to using it

I turned it on today and get the screen

If I try and activate I get a DNS error

Apparantly this is a known issue with the Enterprise volume licensing stuff

All fixes seem to refer to going into Control Panel and re entering your licence key

However I cannot getfully into windows just a restricted version which only allows web access

any ideas ?

I haven't but all the web pages say you cannot use telephone activation when using a volume licensing key

You can't use MS to activate AFAIK. If work gave you the lappy then they must have a KMS server at work. You lappy needs to talk to that server, if you get access to work from home via VPN then you may be stuffed so you'll need to take it into work.
