vista activation

if i re-format my HDD with vista,will it let me activate again ok? or will i have to purchase a new key.

Hello kieranwesley1, yes, you will be able to reactivate Windows Vista legally either via the online process or if it fails, just ring up Microsoft and they will happily reactivate your copy of Windows Vista for you.

You should hopefully put through the automatic telephone system, answere a few questions enter the 20 digit code on your computer screen, then a code will be dictated back again about 20 digits.

Everytime I've re-installed Vista I have had to use the telephone system, it will come up this key is already in use.

For me, Its activated by the tinternet every time. Even just now When ive put my 2raptors in RAID. Last time I had to use the telephone I ghosted my install from a 320Gb to my newly purchased raptor. You should be fine unless you are changing g/card etc at the same time.
