Anyone got vista and call of duty 2 and played in dx9 mode? when i play in dx9 mode all i see is blue sky, no walls, tress, roads, models. Nothing lol.

Another thing is when holding down fire with a mp44 or some other mg, it sounds and the gun acts a lot different from when running on xp.

Im not sure if its drivers problems maybe.

My specs: (Vista32bit)

SB X-FI Fatal1ty Soundcard (Vista Beta drivers)
8800GTX (Forceware 100.30)
Setpoint 310 (Not for Vista but work supposedly)

I really think its one of the above that is causing the problem. But dont have a clue about whats causing the DX9 mode problem with cod2.

Anyone suggestions would be smashing :D

Cheers

i got that when running it normally, but you need to run in xp(sp2) compatible mode. If i ran it normally it would stay black screen for ages,, i would need to minimise then maximise then it would work.

I think its the sound drivers to be totally honest, they are very basic with a lot of features missing. But then again the dx9 problem must be gfx drivers.

Or my recoil might just look and sound different because im not using my mouse programs from XP, USBmouserate switcher 1.1 , mouseaccelfix. Where i changed my mouserate from the normal 125 to 500(g5 mouse) and windows automatically had accel on, so running this program turned it off. they dont work in vista tho.

Solved one of my problems with cod2(semi-solved lol) , the problem when spraying a mp44 where it sounded and acted all weird was the X-FI sound drivers. I uninstalled them and used onboard sound and all is fine again, apart from cant use 5.1. Just need to wait for good x-fi drivers.

Any can imagine new nvidia drivers will fix dx9 mode in cod2.
