Vista and Default Applications

So I have Firefox set as the defaul browser, and I have manually changed any references to Internet Explorer in 'Default Programmes' to Firefox. Even so, when I click a link someone has given me in Trillian, it opens in IE. How can I make it open in Firefox?

I was having exactly the same problem.
The problem is not with Vista per se, it is a Firefox issue, and is fixed in version 2.0.0.2. I have been using the nightly build version for a while now and it solved it.
