Hi all.

I've just got Vista which I love so far. I have a Nvidia 7900GS and want to know what DirectX I need to use...
Does Vista come with DirectX10?
What DirectX do I need to use with my card?

Vista comes with DirectX10, so you shouldn't need to install anything except drivers, it's all backwards compatible. :)

not in my experience. flatout2 won't run in vista until you update directx9 either from the dvd or the latest version from microsoft's site. :)

i didn't need any update to run flatout2 in vista. the copy protection worked straight away. but i'm using 32 bit. are you you running x64?

32 bit, on hindsight it was splinter cell, and windows was nice in telling me that the driver was incompatible, and where to update it, i really do love the user friendlyness of vista

DirectX 10 is a different beast to all previous versions.
You will almost certainly at some point need to install DirectX 9 under your Vista installation even though the OS ships with DirectX 10.
