Vista and new motherboard?

Is it stil lthe same hassle with vista when you change a motherboard in a PC.

Do you still have to unreg vista with microsoft, format drives and reinstall. Or can i put new motherbaord in and put the drives back and not have to reinstall?

I have had to change motherboard a few times on my Vista install and it just works it will fall back on default drivers and then once its booted in you can install the motherboard specific driver. It's much much easier and smoother than what a motherboard change would have been for Windows XP.

You will most likely have to re-activate Vista after this as it's a major change.
