vista and quake3

hi just started to play some q3 under vista32bit and i am getting serious fps dropping its locked at max 125fps but getting it drop down to 60-70 quite regular any ideas

x1800xt 512, [email protected] 4gb ram latest ati drivers

backup q3config.cfg and delete this file. clean q3 **** boot up then set the com _maxfps commmand to 125. See and play. If it still drops like this then you have a driver issue or a hardware problem. also test on non punkbuster servers.

if that fails try it in another os like winxp or linux.
