vista and sound, graphics problems

i have installed vista 64 and i am having problems with installing and using the above things
after installing the nvidia drivers for my 7800gt it allways says that my driver is out of date but its the latest from nvidia so i have no control panel

it wont let me use my creative audigy 2 it says there is a problem with the install, it reqognises in device manager it but wont play any sound at all

so i tried my onboard sound, it installes perfectly, but no sound comes out?

so now im out of ideas

^ That any use with the nVidia contral panel? :) As for drivers being out of data, Vista doesn't say anything about that to me (using latest Vista Catalysts) but when I load up games in Steam e.g. HL2, it gives me the warning about graphics cards drivers being out of date when they aren't. I just ignore it and everything works fine.

As for sound cards, nobody afaik has managed to get an Audigy 2 working. Must be down to Creative's drivers. I'm using Realtek onboard sound on mine, there are Vista drivers available from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads.aspx#. But you didn't say what chipset your onboard is :o . If it's Realtek perhaps that's worth a try?
 
yeah allready been doing that but no specifics to change stuff like AA etc

just seen on creatives site, This download supports Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit Beta Build 5231 and may not work on other Vista builds.
which would explain things as its vista build 5384.4 :(
