Vista and system folders

Just a quick question, does anyone know if the my documents, my music etc folders are treated as system folders in vista as they are in xp?

This is one of the things that really bugs me as all our machines store documents centrally, but moving the my docs folder there causes problems if its turned off because its a system folder, and not moving the my documents folder means if you delete it or the my music folder windows is constantly putting it back again. Same for the shared docs folders.

And another general vista question... can shortcuts be viewed and opened in browse menus now, or can they still only be viewed in some browse menus and in explorer/a full folder window as in xp?
