Vista and VMWare SMP

Has anyone got this working properly?

Upgraded last night... when I open the VM, memory usage momentarily shoots to 99% (running 2GB), then Vista lays siege to my hard drive as it tries to repopulate the SuperFetch cache - knocks the system out for five minutes. It's really irritating...

I've had Linux running under VMWare under Vista, but it was very slow, even with 1GB RAM assigned to virtual machine.

Once it's running the speed is fine; currently at 2050ppd. It's just startup that's very slow :confused:

No problems here either.

How much RAM have you got assigned to the VM ?
