Vista and Windows 7.?

Hi, im confused, are these the same OS or two totally different things.?

would you have to buy windows 7 lkike going from xp - vista

or is it an upgrade.?

it will be a new OS so you will have to pay for it

Different, it is the new os. Expected to be released late in 2009.

Indeed, im hoping that M$ offer a cheap upgrade option from vista, as many companies/people finally upgraded/changed to vista and now releasing their new OS.
