Vista and X-Fi

Hi,

I've got a few problems with vista and my xtreme gamer card.

1. Without CMSS on, I only get sound from front 2 speakers? (I use creative 7.1 T7900's)

2. CMSS - X-pand - really cool, but there's practically no sound from the side speakers, this is annoying.. anything I can do about it? I've gone bck to Stero surround now.

This is more of a Vista related issue

3. Do the Vista sound settings (in the Control Panel) affect the card at all?

What's with the quality settings?

I put it to the highest (which def. sounds better) but I think it keeps on resetting.

This is getting pretty annoying, I hope they release some drivers soon to fix it.

Anyone got info on any of my probs?

All I can think of is wait, the Drivers are still in Beta stages so there not going to be good.

As above the X-Fi ( or most other creative cards ) arent oficial suppprted under vista.

ow okay, so they're definatley because of cruddy drivers rather than, that's how they are?

Official X-fi drivers should be out in march.
