Vista boot time?

I usually just leave my computer on but sometimes we all know Windows could do with a reboot, I've noticed that my boot time is around 3-4 minutes. It just sits there on a black screen for the majority of the time, is this normal?

what do you think? of course it's not normal.

I worked out the problem, my WD external drive causes the long boot times, damn thing. There is no work around either, WD just told me to unplug it.
