windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1.Basically says to enter vista cd and go through repair process.
Says im mising the winload.exe file - the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
Anyway, entered the vista cd and went through the repair process. Finally got through to my desktop after ages of waiting. Anyway thought i better check it can restart again without the cd. So i do this, it shuts down and then on restart up comes the same error message.
I have installed a new hdd recently but have restarted many times after installation.
The last thing i did before it was working was install vista updates.
Any suggestions?
