Hi guys,
I have just bought myself a new Lenovo R60e Laptop and it comes with a free windows vista business upgrade. I am not sure if i should this or not as i always read and hear people saying tis better to get a program like this after about 6 - 12 months when microsoft have brought out a service pack for it or fixed bugs in the system?

Is this true or not as i am rather confused?

One other thing is its an upgrade and not the real deal, am i right or wrong in saying more can go wrong with an upgrade?

The laptop comes with xp pro so im in two minds to what i should do, i hope you guys can help me out and give me some advice.

Regards
Ace
Happy New Year

Depends on what you use your laptop for. Ive been using Vista since i got it via my msdn account along with office 2007. Vista is a excellent OS, not very different from xp, just with more bells and whistles and it flows a lot smoother. Graphic card drivers are non exsistent at the moment though so if your a game player id wait a few months before upgrading. Dont think you will be able to upgrade anyway until the 30th Jan when its released. Its only been RTM and available to msdn subscribers so far.

im not really a big game player i have my xbox 360 for that.

My main question is will vista be the same if i upgrade from xp pro instead of purchasing the full OS?

It will be the same if you upgraded or buy the full business version of Vista.

If you wanted a different version of Vista, ie ultimate etc you would have to get the new os.
