Hi,

I've been offered a laptop but it has Vista Business on it. Is this suitable for home use, or have Microsoft taken out all the useful bits such as the media applications to make it more business-oriented?

Would really appreciate some info :)

Many thanks, OcUK Oracles :D

Can't see Media Center on my work lappy, but apart from that I've not noticed any differences. Media Player is still there, tho of course there are no games.

edit - just seen a 'media center' option in the Accessories menu, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Ok I don't think the media centre thing will be much of an issue, there's plenty of third party software that could take its place :) Thanks chaps.

I use Vista Business at home and its totally fine. It doesn't include Media Center stuff (as mentioned some others in this thread) but apart from that its fine.

media centre is the only thing missing, compared to HP

you also now have native remote desktop server capability & domain joining

You can add the vista built in games to business. You have to install them using programs and features in control panel, and find them in the turn windows features on or off
