Is there any way to turn off these annoying popup that asks if you want to do something after you have told it to do something.
ie when you want to installing something etc
thanks

Do not disable UAC! It's good for you! Or so some people will tell you.

I turned mine off originally but now I've got it on. It seems to 'adapt' the more you use it and ask you fewer times. It's for your own protection, I'd keep it on.

The omly reason ive asked is.
The way i look at it is ive told it to install something so why ask me again if im sure i want to do it
Thanks anyway

I turned mine off :D :D :D as it kept asking me like 200 times a day

Its personal choice at the end of the day!

I'm the only person that uses my machine at home so I turned it off!

It keeps nagging me down beside the clock that they are turned off

Gotta love windows :D ;)

Turning off UAC was the first thing I did! I'd already suffered from UAC dialogs though Vista beta versions.

BTW turn on UAC if you want to install Adobe Reader v8. It seems that UAC blocks access to the temp install directory otherwise.
