Been messing around with the compatibility tool for Vista before taking the leap. Looks like no problem with the old hardware, but a couple of issues were flagged on two of my favourite software tools.
Norton Ghost - Symantec Corporation - v2003.0.0.793
PowerQuest PartitionMagic 8.0 - PowerQuest Corporation - v8.1
This program might have minor compatibility issues after upgrading to Windows Vista. For more information, go to the vendor's website.
Annoyingly these are two tools that are now owed by Symantec, so the support is hopeless (and I am not even sure if they will be doing future versions). Can't find anything on the website about this.
Do any of you Vista users have/use these products?
Any idea what the "minor issues" are?
Are XP and Vista NTFS and Partitions compatibile?
OR: Any new suggestions for disk and partition cloning and resizing without data loss? I have been religiously using both these tools since the 90's, but they are getting a bit old now. Previous century technology and all that....
