Just installed Vista to see what all the fuss is about. I have very mixed feelings about it but anyway. 1 thing, though, the icons on the desktop are MASSIVE and i can't find a way to make them smaller. Anyone else found away. I have googled it but can't seem to find anything

Sorry to hijack the thread, Even though its been sorted, I wanted to ask how to make the windows rotate?

I think you are thinking of something else, I was meaning webpages etc. How do i make them turn like 3D?

I think this is what you're after, in build 5744 on the taskbar next to the start button there should be an icon like a blue rectangle shape with 3 icons within it. Click on that and it'll change your view of web pages etc, and if you have a scroll wheel use that scroll through them. Hope that's of help?

Windows Key + Tab does the same, you can also use the arrow keys to scroll through, as well as by holding win key and tapping tab.

ok cool, so once i get rc downloaded how can i set up a dual boot system? I have 3 drives.. i want to partiition one in half and then install vista on it.. it is a different physical drive from my current xp installation.

Any advice?

You install vista on your other drive. Then when you want to dualboot you hold down F8 (I think it's that anyway) and it will give you the option to boot from whichever os you want.

ahh cool, sounds handy enuf to do.

Whats best way to partition a disk?
If there's stuff already on it, it's a bad idea (if you want to keep the stuff on it) otherwise the XP or Vista setup discs, or the disk manager in windows will do fine.

Cheers lads ;) The whole 3D thing is very cool  . Im also liking the Vista Aero apart from when you maximise windows the glass effect stops.

When i was using RC2 i had never got the chance to check out Aero plus the Windows flip, As they never worked the options just wernt there, So im using the 6000 (rtm edition) Till its available in the shops in Jan.

I don't get why anyone's complaining about that - it doesn't make sense for a maximised window to have transparency, and it would be very annoying if it did!

No, im descibing what you asked for, you should have asked 'how do i get 3d tabs' not rotate.
