I didn't get my answers in until about 40 minutes after it opened, so I wasn't holding my breath... but, email has arrived - a copy of Vista Ultimate coming my way!!!

It may still have bugs, but I'll happily take a free retail copy!

Did anyone win a copy of Office 2007? I chose the "Enter for both" option, but the email indicates that I've only won Vista.

Curiously, my wife entered the competition about 2 minutes after me, and she hasn't yet had an email saying she's won... weird! Maybe right on the cutoff?

WTF!? 40 minutes! I did it within 10 minutes and i haven't heard anything. And i checked with the blog and i am sure i put the same answer in!

EDIT:

Could people check their contact preferences via https://profile.microsoft.com (choose the "my contact preferences" option).

If you have "do not contact" set under the email from Microsoft option it seems that we would not have sent you an email even if you were a winner due to data protection rules.

Note that if you were a winner and didn't receive an email because of this you will still be shipped the product when we have it. That is, the email was for information only it doesn't affect anything else. Of course, you won't *know* that you're a winner in that case...until you receive the product.

Well i have all of these unchecked so this is why i have not had an email then from MS saying that i may have won. Looks like i will have to wait till around the 12 of March to see if i have won!

Curses, not heard anything :(

Can anyone remember the answer, out of curiousity?

From the blog:
Windows Vista: Experian

Microsoft Office: K2 and Meridio

The 1000 people for Vista went within the first 30 minutes or so, unless you were very quick you wouldn't have got it. The 1000 for Office took a long time but the question was tricky because you needed to give two answers! The plural in the question obviously wasn't enough of a clue for everyone....

I won a copy of Office.

That explains why I didn't win Office! I only gave one answer. I didn't realise that the two questions were separate, one for each prize. :(

Well done PinkPig.
