that dreamscene stuff is so resource intensive that it takes up 70%-100% cpu on my Xp3200 machine lol if you try running anything else the machine stutters to decide what gets priority.

displaying tv card output as a backdrop or even dvd takes like 10% max and on the Amiga, 0% cpu is used to display tv card as a backdrop .

thats how far vista has come

thats how far vista has come

It takes up ~15-20% on my AMD X2 when viewing the desktop, although it drops to 0% when running another app in full screen.
Which is strange because "it is rendered on the graphics card" so should be using almost no CPU time at all. According to the sales pitch that is.
